SAP Development Consultant

We need SAP consultants who know how to analyse business situations using hard and soft data, and who can deliver simple, effective solutions that will enable our customers to outperform their goals. The role

  • You daily execute second- and third-line remote support interventions in SAP for a number of customers: issue solving, realizing changes, assisting functional consultant colleagues.
  • The product range to support for our customers implies SAP ECC suite, SAP S/4HANA environments and SAP add-on products developed by SOA People
  • You interact with SAP AG to tackle customer issues in the standard product, in line with the SAP License Maintenance contract in place.
  • For our SAP add-on products, you interact with the SOA People product development team to discuss customer issue solutions or demands for future extensions.
  • You provide additional RTS services to our customers: occasional on-site meetings or workshops with customers, technical assistance during a planned go-live, participate in mini-projects to extend the functionality of an implementation.
  • You have full responsibility over the development topics you are dealing with, in defining the technical solution and in its realization.
  • You pro-actively communicate about the status and result of your work with all stakeholders: customers, service desk coordinator, colleague consultants, service delivery managers, RTS management.
  • In case of operational issues, you escalate the matter internally to the service desk coordinator.
  • You mainly work in Lyon (France) or in Waver (Belgium).

Key abilities

  • You are very customer and service oriented, meticulous and punctual in your communication to customers.
  • You like to work in a support environment, where operating procedures, request priorities and SLA agreements are important drivers of your daily activities.
  • You constantly focus on the quality of your work.
  • You take a pragmatic approach to define and realize working solutions in systems where you are not fully familiar with.
  • You have at least 4 years’ experience as an SAP development consultant in (parallel) missions for different customers.
  • As a consequence, you have in-depth knowledge on ABAP, ABAP OO, ALV, Adobe Forms, SAPScript, Smartforms, IDOCs, …
  • You have good knowledge on quite some of the newer technologies used in SAP context: webservices, Odata, CPI, UI5, FIORI, CDS Views
  • You are skilled in ECC and S/4HANA environments.
  • It is a strong asset if you have functional understanding of main SAP Modules: FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, CS, WM.
  • You communicate fluently in French and English. Both orally and in writing. Good knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset.
  • ITIL experience is a strong asset.
