Optorg reduces SAP complexity whilst improving security and performance
Optorg wanted to accelerate its digital transformation and increase its performance in the long term by improving operational efficiency, containing risks of cyber, fraud and compliance attacks and better managing costs.
Nearly a century old, Optorg specialises in heavy equipment and automobile distribution in Africa, representing major vehicle and technical equipment manufacturers. It is a Caterpillar dealer in nine Central African countries and Morocco supplying operators with specialised equipment (construction, mining and forestry), handling trucks and power generation solutions.
Optorg has also represented Mercedes-Benz for 25 years, alongside some 10 other international brands in offering a wide range of commercial and passenger vehicles.
Optorg had implemented an SAP ERP system several years ago to work across its core functional divisions; finance, sourcing and purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing and asset management. But deployment for each module had been a challenge, and the volume and quality of specific code was slowing innovation down.
“Performer has enabled us to identify, in a very short time, the tangible areas of improvement in terms of technology and business, and to integrate this transformation into a continuous improvement process”
