Drive DeVilbiss expands B2B ecommerce sales with SAP BTP

    To keep up with business growth and stay one step ahead of the competition, Drive DeVilbiss needed to provide more choice to its 2,000 B2B customers and dealers in how they could browse and buy its range of mobility and durable medical products.

    Already an existing SAP ECC6 customer with SOA People, Drive DeVilbiss selected SAP Business Technology Platform to develop an ecommerce web-based solution complete with an electronic product catalog that will help drive sales and improve customer experience.

    Drive DeVilbiss is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of durable medical products. As one of the fastest growing companies in this space, Drive DeVilbiss UK strengthened its operations in 2015 with two strategic acquisitions, a specialist seating manufacturer and a manufacturer of specialist pressure care products, hospital and community beds. More recently it also acquired a global leader of respiratory and sleep products.

    Until now, B2B customers and dealers processed their sales orders either via their field sales rep, or by email or even fax. Now the integrated ecommerce web solution built on SAP Business Technology Platform will not only provide another convenient way to buy but will enhance customer experience. It will greatly improve operational efficiency with a more seamless and automated process for sales orders, distribution and the despatch of goods. And the creation of an electronic product catalog will allow customers to easily browse and select the products they need.
