SOA People has been awarded a long-term contract with Plato Group to deliver SAP S/4HANA hosted on a private cloud platform by T-Systems.
With 400 employees, Plato Group is a leading wholesaler of promotional products serving more than 20 European markets, helping customers to make their brands stand out and offering an easy way to order products. The SOA People Ready-to-Business solution will accelerate business processes and bring visibility of costs versus revenue on custom-made products to drive margin recovery.
Embedded analytics within SAP S/4HANA will provide powerful business insight and real-time reporting, empowering Plato Group’s operations to manage each of its customer brands more efficiently and quickly. Plato Group will also benefit from transparent stock management from picking through to production and shipping, and the capability to consolidate reporting across multiple brands within the same customer organisation.
SAP S/4HANA will initially be implemented for 265 users with plans to expand usage across Plato Group. It includes modules for finance and cost controlling, sales and distribution, materials management and production planning. The firm plans to harness further solution capability including HR, ecommerce and product information management.
Faced with challenging times as the business world struggles to cope with the impact of Covid-19, Plato Group has taken this opportunity to rethink and simplify its business processes and find new ways of remote working, remaining agile and resilient in preparation for its market to ramp up again. The SAP expertise and industry knowledge, combined with its willingness and fighting spirit to collaborate quickly with Plato Group over the last weeks, made SOA People the ideal partner.
Alexander Prior, MD SOA People in the Netherlands says, “Its investment in the latest SAP technology platform is an important step forward in achieving its vision to become the European market leader in promotional products. We look forward to partnering with this international direct marketing specialist that is set for ambitious growth”.
Hans Stoker, CFO, the Plato Group says, “This is a period full of unprecedented challenges for businesses everywhere, but we’re focused on rethinking and transforming our infrastructure in preparation for growth. Moving onto one intelligent ERP with SAP S/4HANA will enable us to benefit from all the innovative benefits of SAP and gain incredible business insight. Together with SOA People as our chosen partner, we will harness this strong and sustainable technology that will enable the Plato Group to successfully move into the next phase”.
