SOA People Credit Management Forum 2024: A Recap of Innovations and Best Practices

Kerstin Eder |

In March 2024, we launched a new event format: the SOA People Credit Management Forum.

Why did we do this? It is important to us that our customers have a platform where they can learn about innovations and best practices, participate in product development, listen to exciting presentations and interesting discussions and benefit from comprehensive exchange and networking in the credit management context.

This year's slogan was "Digitalization and Automation". We brought together around 50 customers, partners and experts from the DACH region in Karlsruhe, Germany, to give them useful impulses for their company and their day-to-day work.

In addition to the speakers and panelists, we would like to explicitly thank our customers for their active participation in various discussions. These free contributions to the various sessions enriched the forum and help us to move forward together.

We are happy to share some worthwhile moments with you below, which we captured in a short video during the event.

What was part of the 2024 program?

At the beginning, Holger Behrens, Managing Director of SOA People AG, spoke about corporate development, the SOA People Academy, our focus areas in SAP and our strategic visions. Wilm Schweer, Sales Director IP at SOA People, then presented exciting developments in credit management from various perspectives and introduced our partner network. Stephan Sielaff, Sales Director at Creditsafe, followed on directly from this with his insightful presentation on "Partnerships in action: technology and data".

One of the highlights was the session "Credit Check: Now it's your turn!" with Joan Knight, our Dutch credit management expert with over 25 years of experience in this field. Current topics and developments were addressed, votes were taken in an online tool and discussed with the audience.

The detailed presentation of the Ready4 Credit Management roadmap was also particularly exciting and interactive. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our new and long-standing customers once again for their enriching insights, impulses and feedback. Such an intensive customer exchange is very valuable for us. In this way, we can better prioritize important innovations and functionalities, taking into account the constantly changing conditions of customer needs, challenges and opportunities in the midst of the dynamic market environment.

In addition to our partner Creditsafe, Creditreform was also present with two guest speakers. Thomas Richter, Head of National Partner Management and Member of the Management Board, together with Sven Steller, Senior Consultant SAP/ERP Integration, presented what the integration of debt collection with the help of AI innovations could look like in the future.

Finally, there was an interactive panel on the future of credit management. It dealt with topics such as the opportunities and risks of generative AI in debt collection, the German Secondary Credit Market Act (KrZwMG), corporate strategies for risk prevention, automation of decision-making processes in risk management and the resulting developments. Innovations on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), private cloud solutions and effective approaches to international projects were also widely discussed.

In the evening, there was a cozy get-together with a buffet in our new Karlsruhe office building near Karlsruhe Central Station.

Will there be another credit managemeent forum in 2025?

The forum brought us all a step further in terms of personal exchange, insights and innovation in credit management. Due to the very good response, we have decided to organize the SOA People Credit Management Forum again in the future.

See you next time!
