Galler is a growing Belgian confectionary business with over 150 employees, famous for its innovative and high-quality chocolate products. With all its cocoa 100% Fairtrade certified, the firm is committed to transforming its operations to have minimal ethical impact.

The Challenge

Galler is undergoing a transformation at all levels of its organisation and its ageing SAP technology was putting increasing limitations on the ability of the business to survive and grow in the changing climate. To achieve its long-term goals and objectives for improved proactivity and forecasting, Galler needed to transform its technology.  Galler commissioned an SAP S/4HANA Assessment to give it a detailed roadmap to understand what business value this new technology could offer and the implications of such a transition would be on its business operations.

  • Workshops and Q & A sessions gave opportunity for feedback and ensured a tailored service to meet the customer needs.
  • Technical and Functional assessments evaluated possible risks, incompatibilities and opportunities and included interviews with technical leaders to capture specific details of what the system needed to do.
  • Brownfield approach recommended for a technical migration that restored data while maintaining existing set up and user interface to limit disruption to operations.
  • Migration benefits highlighted including enhanced productivity, advanced business analytics, better financial intelligence, managing seasonal demand forecasting and SAP Fiori.
“Our business transformation journey is in process. Supported by SOA People, SAP S/4HANA will drive the technological core of the organisation and help us achieve our future goals and objectives” Salvatore Iannello, CEO, Galler Group
