Cloud technology is improving our work life and driving speed, efficiency and agility into our business processes. But making the right individual software choices to support business transformation can be daunting and result in multiple contracts, SLAs and systems that all need provisioning.
Launched in January this year, RISE with SAP was created to help customers harness their software choices by combining concurrent software together with SAP S/4HANA to transform their businesses. RISE with SAP is all about business transformation-as-a-service providing in one single engagement access to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, choice of infrastructure provider, business process intelligence, custom code migration, SAP Business Network Starter Park and of course the SAP Business Technology Platform.
With 23 years of SAP experience, watch Tamas Szirtes, SOA People Group Innovation Director & SAP Mentor as he shares a useful guide on this latest SAP offering and explains the different package options available, advice on which option to choose and how SOA People can help simplify your digital journey.
Here are 6 highlights about RISE with SAP that you may not know:
RISE with SAP comes with industry packages
RISE with SAP comes with a flexible combination of industry-focused offerings to suit different business requirements. Previously, SAP’s industry solutions were offered as extensions to SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA. But now RISE for SAP includes them as part of the core offering, providing value for money as well as the benefit of centralised technology provisioning (and aligned SLAs and contract).
The packages are already available for five initial industries:
- Consumer Products
- Industrial Machinery & Components (IM&C)
RISE with SAP comes with two Lines of Business (LoB) packages
RISE with SAP includes two LoB packages relevant for your business, Modular Cloud ERP and Human Experience Management.
Modular Cloud ERP is about new ways of working that deliver choices, flexibility and control to your ERP solution. The Human Experience Management package allows you to extend your offering with HXM to empower your employees and keep ahead of the rapidly changing needs of the workforce.
Modular Cloud ERP: pick the software solutions you need to run cloud-based ERP
Modular Cloud ERP’s openness and modularity around its core extensions sees the offering include the most popular individual modules such as SAP Ariba for Buying, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Identity Access & Governance. It also enables partner-sourced apps and agile development.
While SAP S/4HANA as a stand-alone is a great solution, often customers find that they need more advanced capability for procurement, HR and so on. The Modular Cloud ERP within RISE with SAP gives you that broader flexibility and core extensions.
RISE with SAP comes with Human Experience Management (HXM) as a flexible package
RISE with SAP provides customised packages that allow you to extend your offering with HXM.
There are currently three packages that will help you connect your people data with your financial data, reskill project and technical teams and improve operations and planning for payroll and time tracking.
The core RISE with SAP offering can be combined with new transformation packages
Now you can choose from multiple transformation packages which you can then combine with a portfolio of bundles and components, but you will still benefit from a single contract. And of course, SAP S/4HANA Cloud is part of the RISE with SAP core offering.
RISE with SAP gives you a guided journey and simplified engagement
SAP has created this Business Transformation as a Service offering not only to make it easier for customers to buy the software they need when they need it, but to make the engagement, i.e. the contract, pricing and SLAs, much more simplified. It also means you can add more software as your business changes and grows in order to achieve your corporate goals.
As well as software choices, RISE with SAP includes embedded process analytics and business processing tools to guide you on your journey, helping you better understand how your existing processes work end to end and how to improve and transform them.
And finally, the industry and LoB packages give you the flexibility to extend your specific business needs and address your existing and future challenges.
