Increasing efficiency in credit management: Bosch Security Systems relies on automation and SAP integration

Kerstin Eder |

Bosch Security and Safety Systems, a leading global provider of security solutions, is comprehensively automating and standardizing its credit management processes in collaboration with SOA People. In a video interview, Gregor Koloczek explains the challenges the company is facing, the reasons for their decision to embark on the current projects and the efficiency improvements the group is aiming for in credit management.

Bosch Security and Safety Systems, a global company with a strong presence in the EMEA region, develops high-quality security solutions for all industries. The company plays a leading role in the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor-based technologies. With innovative solutions in everything from access to fire prevention and public announcement to intelligent video security, it is helping redefine people’s relationships with the buildings they spend their time in.

To strengthen competitiveness and crisis prevention, Bosch has set itself the goal of becoming more homogeneous and efficient in credit management. Gregor Koloczek has been working at Bosch Security and Safety Systems for over 17 years. As Global Process Owner in the B2C Customer Finance and Reporting Credit Management department, he has been helping to shape credit management processes since 2011 and is involved in projects such as the Robert Bosch Group Project SAP S/4HANA Receivables Management and the current SAP S/4HANA FSCM rollout.

In the following video interview, Gregor Koloczek talks about how Bosch Security and Safety Systems is reorganizing and optimizing its Credit Management 2024 processes. We would like to thank Gregor Koloczek for taking the time to conduct this interview with us.

CHALLENGES IN CREDIT MANAGEMENT AND FUTURE MEASURES

Bosch Security and Safety Systems is particularly active in the construction industry, which is currently facing major challenges. Gregor Koloczek emphasizes the importance of optimizing, digitalizing and automating processes in order to identify and eliminate potential risks at an early stage. He explains that the networking of sales systems, logistics systems and financial systems is crucial in order to be able to assess customers at the intake and acquisition stage.

WHY SOA PEOPLE AS A STRATEGIC PARTNER?

Bosch Security and Safety Systems was looking for a partner who could help digitize and optimize its processes in the short term. This applies in particular to the credit reporting, limit decision, scoring, collection and dispute processes. Bosch found a flexible, professional and customer-oriented partner in SOA People. Koloczek emphasizes that the Ready4 Credit Management solution from SOA People is a perfect fit for Bosch's needs.

THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPLETE SAP INTEGRATION

For Bosch Security and Safety Systems, it was essential that the credit management solution was fully integrated into SAP and reliably supported employees in their work efficiently on both SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA. Koloczek also explains that two external systems are currently used for credit management and bill-to-cash, but these are prone to errors and cause additional costs. Integrating all data into one system not only improves user-friendliness, but also sustainably reduces the number of external interfaces and the associated costs and risks.

We at SOA People would like to thank Bosch Security and Safety Systems for their trust and excellent cooperation. Our special thanks go to Gregor Koloczek for his time and the informative interview.
