HEP, the experts in the development, construction, operation and financing of solar projects, has selected RISE with SAP Private Edition to provide a single solution to help facilitate its growth and ensure its technology is fit for the future.
Running multiple solar projects across the world, HEP is growing fast. Employing 140 people, its headquarters in Southern Germany acts as a major hub where all projects are designed, planned, monitored and controlled. The key objective for HEP is to help contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment and the on-going expansion of its solar parks is saving over 34 Kilotons of CO² every year. HEP’s long-term aim is to increase the supply of renewable energies, but as a rapidly expanding business, it needed a long-term solution for its technology too.
HEP had outgrown its current ERP system and as a former Business One customer, was finding it outdated and costly when having to buy multiple add-ons. It required a cost-effective and hassle-free solution that allowed flexibility which could easily be adapted to this innovative business. Convinced that the brand-new offering from market leader SAP was the answer, HEP bought the license for RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition (RISE PCE) from SOA People. This single vendor offering will provide all the key cloud services under one ERP roof, including hyperscaler and operations and importantly allows HEP to take control of its upgrade and transition within its own time frame.
RISE with SAP, with its embedded analytics and business processing tools, will give HEP a powerful platform to support all parts of its business, from financial management to project planning. SAP S/4HANA will be the technological foundation to automate and simplify operational processes, but HEP will also have the option to add more software when needed, tailoring the technology to its specific needs.
