The Challenge

PARSA is growing dynamically and has 400 employees at the company headquarters as well as in 5 other branches. PARSA had set itself the goal of modernising its HR processes, which were inefficient due to time-consuming reporting and the use of multiple Excel lists. PARSA also wanted to support its loyal workforce and have a system where employees could pursue their goals and performance was recognised

Solution

After careful consideration of a wide variety of HR management software solutions, PARSA selected SAP SuccessFactors because it could be customised to meet the PARSA-specific needs of the HR organisation and would also integrate well with its future IT landscape.
Following the introduction and presentation by SOA People, PARSA decided to go down the implementation route with SOA People's "Ready-To-Run HR" package solution. One of the main advantages of "Ready-To-Run HR" is that it is tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises and therefore minimises the customer's initial investment. In addition, the package supports customers in quickly moving their HR processes to the cloud with proven, pre-defined processes and controlling them from a central platform. "With their preconfigured package solutions for SMEs, we have managed to modernise our HR cost effectively and digitise our time/absence management, among other things." Christina Schäfer emphasises.

The scope of the project includes the SAP SuccessFactors modules Employee Central (personnel administration including time and absence management), Performance & Goals (target and performance assessment management) as well as Recruiting Management and Recruiting Marketing. In addition, an interface between the existing time recording system and Employee Central was the goal of HR's digitalisation. In the future, employees and HR should have a central platform for their HR processes and thus be able to work more efficiently.
PARSA placed a special focus on the subject of target and performance management. "We owe our success to our employees. It is therefore all the more important to pursue goals together and also to recognise performance. SOA People has provided us with a solution that enables us to manage our goal setting and performance appraisal process today and to handle the process in a time-saving manner," Christina Schäfer elaborates. The SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals solution was implemented within two months and the new process was implemented directly with the employees.

A particular challenge was setting up the personnel administration in connection with time management and the interface to the existing time recording system. In the course of change management, PARSA decided to go live with the personnel administration in phases. First without self-services and then a second phase with the provision of self-services for the employees as well as time management, including an interface to the clocking-in times. Within eight months, SOA People set up the personnel administration, defined the logic of the interface to the time recording system with PARSA and mapped the time management in SAP SuccessFactors.

The final component of PARSA's digitalisation strategy was to modernise the existing recruiting processes. A job approval workflow, an applicant pipeline, a central platform with an overview of the vacancies and other recruiting functions were created.
Overall, with SAP SuccessFactors and the package solution "Ready-To-Run HR", PARSA benefits from a cloud HR solution that has provided them with sustainable support in managing their HR processes, as well as automating and modernising them.
